  1. Language police stoop to the trivial
    Editorial The Gazette June 21, 2005 - Can we hope for more sense from the Office and less nonsense? Probably not. It is a fact of political life for the Jean Charest Liberals that as federalists (and a party in the approval doldrums) they cannot afford to look soft on language. As for the Office, it will continue to enforce trivial and vindictive complaints for a very simple reason: French is stronger than ever in Quebec, so they have nothing else to do.
